Badger men's hockey team held winless for over a month

MADISON, Wis. – For the second-straight night, Wisconsin (1-7-2, 1-5-2 WCHA) fell to Minnesota State (5-5-2, 3-5-0 WCHA) by a 4-2 score at the Kohl Center on Saturday.

  • Junior Michael Mersch continues his torrid scoring pace, notching his eighth goal of the season.
  • Sophomore defenseman Jake McCabe tallied a goal and an assist to lead the UW offense
  • Senior forward Derek Lee collected two assists

With the loss, Wisconsin still has just one win on the season. The Badgers haven't won in more than one month, with their last win coming against Minnesota-Duluth on Oct. 26.

Wisconsin plays a two-game series at Denver on Friday and Saturday.
