Jackson County (WQOW) - A western Wisconsin deer hunter has died in an ATV crash.

The DNR says Marvin Waldsmith of Black River Falls was going hunting with his 10-year-old son. They were riding a four-wheeler up a hill when it tipped over backward, pinning Waldsmith. His son ran for help, but Waldsmith could not be revived.

It happened Friday morning near Melrose.
