Eau Claire (WQOW) - In western Wisconsin hunters killed more than 90,000 deer during the nine day gun hunt. That's up 11 percent from last year.

In northern Wisconsin, where hunters have complained about a lack of deer in recent years, the kill fell 1 percent.

Statewide, hunters took more than 243,000 deer. That's an increase of more than 7.5 percent over last year.
