CESA 10 in running for Race to the Top funding

Chippewa Falls (WQOW) - An area educational group is in the running for millions of dollars from the federal government.

CESA 10 is one of 61 finalists for Race to the Top funding.  The group, which includes 28 school districts in northwest Wisconsin, is hoping to get $30 million over four years.  The money would be used to help create a personalized learning environment for students.  One way CESA 10 plans on doing this is by making sure each student has access to technology.

The U.S. Department of Education is expected to announce the winners before the end of the year.
