McFarland village president found dead at home

MCFARLAND (WKOW) -- The village president of McFarland is found dead at his home.

Mike Harried, 51, was found Wednesday afternoon. The McFarland police chief says there's no reason to believe he died of anything other than natural causes, but detectives are still investigating his death.

According to www.Madison.com, Harried was first elected village president in 2007. He had been re-elected twice since then to the two-year position. He was on the Village Board from 1997 to 2005.

Harried was up for re-election in the spring.
