Altoona (Press Release) - Rooney Properties and Heartland Homes & Development is purchasing the Hillcrest Golf Course from Charter Bank in Eau Claire.
According to Jim Rooney, spokesperson for Rooney Properties and Heartland Homes & Development, the property is under contract with Charter Bank and is scheduled to close before the end of the year.
Rooney stated that they are working on conceptual development plans to develop the entire site but they are still exploring all options regarding the future uses of the golf course.
Heartland Homes is a building and development company founded in 1997 and is owned by Jim & Jennifer Rooney.
Heartland is nearing completion of Prairie Park, a 171 unit development on Eau Claire's Southside, has just started construction of 80 additional housing units in Willow Creek in Chippewa Falls, and plans a spring 2013 ground breaking for Metro Crossing, an 84 unit student housing project at the site of the former Midway Motor Lodge on the Southside of Eau Claire.
The Hillcrest property is rich in natural beauty with a spectacular location that is well suited for future development, said Rooney.
