Madison Music Makers Fundraiser

MADISON (WKOW) -- You and your family can experience a special holiday-themed, family-friendly event at the Overture Center for the Performing Arts and help support arts in our community at the same time.

The Madison Music Makers are hosting a fundraising event at the Overture Center on Sunday December 9, 2012 called "Making Merry, Holiday Magic for All Ages." The program will feature a variety of performances from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. in Promenade Hall. The scheduled performances are from The Madison Ballet, Mt. Zion Church Children's Choir and Madison Music Makers' Show Groups.

A celebrity auction will also be a part of the event. There's even an opportunity for event guests to bid on once-in-a-lifetime experiences with some of Madison's fine arts performers, athletes, community leaders, and other famous persons of interest.  The Madison Music Makers website will include an updated list of the auction participants. For more information on that click here.
Tickets are $35 per person, or $100 per family. Performances and festive refreshments are included with the ticket admission. Proceeds from the event will directly support Madison Music Makers, which serves some of the Madison area's most vulnerable children, and works to support the long-term development of music performance skills and higher education goals by eliminating traditional barriers to participation, such as cost and transportation.  Scholarships for professionally-taught lessons and instruments are available to any motivated student. Madison Music Makers students receive year-round instruction, and participate in a variety of performances throughout the year.
