Sawyer County (WQOW) - A young man convicted of taking part in a murder when he was just 15-years-old was sentenced Friday for the second time.
Austin Davis, who is now 18, is from Exeland. He was convicted of playing a role in the murder of Irena Roszak in her home in Radisson. Roszak was 93.
Prosecutors had called the case a "thrill killing" with "satanic overtures." Davis was sentenced last year to 25 years in prison. But he was re-sentenced Friday because his first sentence was longer than called for in a plea bargain. This time a judge in Sawyer County gave Davis 8 years in prison.
The man convicted of actually stabbing Roszak to death, Christopher Roalson, is scheduled to be sentenced in March.
