Eau Claire (WQOW) - A familiar solution to a space
crunch is back on the
table for a local school district.
On Monday,
the Eau Claire school board will look at three possible options for purchasing Epiphany Lutheran Church. They include: holding a referendum, borrowing
the money, or buying the building outright.
It would be used to house the Four-K program, along with Head Start and
early childhood special education. Last
year, voters rejected a
referendum to buy the building.
The
church has dropped the original
asking price from $4 million to less than $3 million. The public will
get a chance to weigh in on Monday's discussion.
