Jail time for man who punched pregnant teen causing miscarriage

Barron County (WQOW) - A Barron County man is going to jail for punching his pregnant girlfriend in the stomach and causing her to have a miscarriage.

Investigators say William Lindsley was 28 when he started sexually assaulting the 13-year-old girl at his Cumberland home. The assaults allegedly continued for three years. The girl told them Lindsley became angry when she got pregnant at age fifteen.

She said he punched her hard in the stomach several times causing her to miscarry a week later. As part of a plea bargain the sexual assault charges were dropped.

Lindsley was sentenced Thursday to a year in jail for aggravated battery.
