MADISON (WKOW) -- A hit and run accident results in a tentative OWI felony charge.
According to the Middleton Police Department, 51-year-old Kevin Rogan of Middleton faces his 5th OWI offense and hit and run causing injury. Both are felony charges.
The incident happened about 7:50 p.m. on Friday. Officers responded to numerous 911 calls of a traffic crash at University Avenue and Park Street. One of the vehicles fled the scene and witnesses were able to provide officers with a description and license plate number.
Another driver was able to keep the vehicle in sight until officers arrived. The driver ran away and was located and detained by officers a few blocks from his home.
Rogan was also issued citations for inattentive driving and driving without insurance. He was jailed on the felony charges.
