Some golf courses re-open because of warm weather

Verona (WQOW/WKOW) - It's not often you can start off the month of December by teeing off.

Some golf courses in the southeastern part of the state actually reopened this weekend. This is video from Hawks Landing in Verona. The head pro there says local golfers have responded to the warmer weather.

"It's a big bonus, cause the course is in such good shape and the price is right. But I think they're, more than anything, just happy to get out," says Rich Bartley, the PGA Head Professional at Hawks Landing.

Hawk's Landing says it will be open a few more days.
