MADISON (WKOW)-- Many Badger fans found their way back home from the Big 10 Championship Sunday afternoon and are already making plans for the Rose Bowl.
Travel agencies started posting travel packages immediately after the game, and the alumni association had several reservations as early as 1:00 a.m. Sunday morning.
With such a big blowout in the Big 10 Championship, travel agents are now expecting a big turnout for the Rose Bowl. However, they say they're used to Badger fans traveling well.
"They're going to go every year or every other year. Badger fans historically follow the team really, really well. That's why a lot of bowls want us to come to their bowl, just because of our fan following. They know we're going to get the red out," Burkhalter Travel President Ed Mani says.
Burkhalter Travel already had 30 reservations by noon on Sunday. They say they're right on track with last year's numbers.
Fans coming back from Indianapolis had to sit through a five-hour bus ride to Madison. Many said they talked about the Rose Bowl the entire way home.
