MAZOMANIE (WKOW)-- At Carr Valley Cheese in Mazomanie, Julie Vernig is keeping busy filling orders for Wisconsin Cheese holiday gift baskets.
Julie Vernig, Store Manager at Carr Valley Cheese in Mazomanie says, "The holiday season at Carr Valley Cheese is extremely busy. We have eight locations including the one that I am here at today—Mazomanie, and we ship thousands of packages." In fact, specialty cheese stores all across Wisconsin are gearing up for the holiday season!
Michael Thomas, Co-Owner of Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese in Egg Harbor, WI says, "We're now focusing on corporate gift boxes, where we're going to companies in Wisconsin and saying, ‘Why would you give a gift box to your customers or employees that comes from China or comes from wherever it may come from, Why not give a gift box that's made right here in Wisconsin?'" Gauging how busy it is at several Wisconsin cheese stores, gift givers are calling in their orders, and giving the gift of Wisconsin Cheese this holiday season.
Vernig says, "There's such a variety of cheeses that there's always a way to please somebody that gets the gift box. And you don't have to think as hard as you would going through the mall." Whether you're sending it to friends and family, or co-workers and clients, they'll be able to savor the taste that makes Wisconsin great. "Nothing says I appreciate you more than sending someone some Cheese!" says Vernig.
