MADISON (WKOW) -- Shortly after 4:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, Dane County Sheriff's deputies were called to a two-vehicle injury accident on County Highway BB, near State Highway 73 in the town of Deerfield.
Corrina J. Horner, age 18 of Fort Atkinson, was traveling eastbound on BB and failed to stop at a stop sign at Highway 73. Horner collided with the oncoming northbound vehicle, operated by Dawn M. Hesprich, age 55 of Waukesha.
Horner attempted to flee, but her car broke down a short distance away. She was arrested for 1st offense operating while intoxicated causing injury and hit and run causing injury. She was also cited for failure to yield from a stop sign and not wearing a seatbelt. She was not injured.
Hesprich was transported to Meriter Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
