JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Janesville detective Mark Johnson made an arrest Tuesday that stems from a series of purse snatchings.

Travis Boerschinger was arrested for numerous counts of theft from a person and attempted theft from a person.

The thefts occurred on Janesville's north side business district at the beginning of October. Those thefts happened at Sam's Club, Movies 16, America's Best Value Inn, Woodman's, Boston Store, Walmart, and Shopko.

Boerschinger is currently being held at the Rock County Jail.
