Jackson County (WQOW) – A Jackson County woman will spend time behind bars for obtaining a controlled substance by fraud.
Lori Peterson was charged last year with forging her grandmother's name to obtain 1,500 oxycodone pills. She allegedly told the pharmacy that the pills were for her grandmother. But the grandmother told detectives she doesn't even take that drug.
Peterson was sentenced on Wednesday to two months in jail. During three years of probation she's subject to random drug tests.
