LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (WKOW) -- Wisconsin running back Montee Ball won the Doak Walker Award Thursday night which is given to the nation's outstanding running back.

Ball was honored at the Home Depot College Football Awards show at Disney World.

The senior running back beat out fellow finalists Kenjon Barner of Oregon and Johnathan Franklin of UCLA.

Ball rushed for 21 touchdowns and 1,730 yards this season to lead an offense that ranked 12th in the nation in rushing yards per game with 237.8.
