MADISON (WKOW) -- The funeral for the Mount Horeb beating victim will be on Friday.
According to the Wisconsin State Journal, funeral services for Ryan Michael Smith will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Madison at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday until the time of service.
The man accused of beating Smith, 18-year-old Koalton Peterson was charged with first degree reckless homicide in connection with a fatal, baseball bat attack.
To help Smith's family cover the expenses, a fund has been set up at Summit Credit Union. The family would like to extend their thanks for all the prayers and support given to them during this time.
