MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker has asked the Governor of Washington to return a prisoner wanted for killing his half brother in Mazomanie.
Dane County prosecutors have charged Jeffrey Vogelsberg with killing Matthew Graville in July. He was arrested last month in Washington state where he moved to be with his wife. Vogelsberg has refused to waive extradition to Wisconsin.
A Walker spokeswoman said the governor sent a rendition warrant to the governor's office in Washington, which is a request for Gov. Christine Gregoire to ship Vogelsberg back to the state.
A spokesman for Gregoire says she has never denied that kind of request.
