Eau Claire (WQOW) - A former administrator at an Eau Claire medical facility is sentenced on drug charges.

Valerie Whitehead was the administrator of a surgery center at the Mayo Clinic Health System. She was accused of stealing morphine, fentanyl, and other drugs from the facility. Detectives say Whitehead admitted taking and using the narcotics.

On Friday she was given a choice of 30 days in jail or the same time doing community service. Whitehead must also pay restitution and get any necessary counseling.
