UPDATE: The Eau Claire Police Department responded to 56 crashes and 11 vehicles in the ditch this past weekend.

Eau Claire (WQOW) - The Eau Claire Police Department and the State Patrol are cautioning drivers to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
Police say all of the roads within the city of Eau Claire are very difficult to drive on right now. The department has responded to more than 30 crashes since 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning so far, along with 13 vehicles stuck on roadways and 4 cars in the ditch.
The State Patrol says they've responded to more than 25 crashes and 50-60 runoffs along the interstate and major highways. There have been no serious injuries as a result of those crashes.
