SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Sun Prairie police say they have referred a charge to the Dane County District Attorney's Office against the student accused of threatening violence at graduation.
Officers say they have requested a charge of disorderly conduct.
Authorities say the 17-year-old senior student referenced a graduation shooting. Police and Sun Prairie school officials investigated the student's actions.
Sun Prairie schools administrator Tim Culver says there was no, so-called "hit list" of students
found. School officials also say the student did not fully comprehend
the gravity of his remark.
The boy is no longer attending Sun Prairie High School and was placed in an alternative learning setting.
27 News is not naming the student because he is a minor and the charge has only been referred, not filed.
