MADISON (WKOW) -- Badgers defensive coordinator Chris Ash is leaving the team for the same job at Arkansas.
Arkansas confirmed Ash's hiring Tuesday in a release on its website. Ash follows former Badgers head coach Bret Bielema to Arkansas. Bielema left Wisconsin last week.
Ash will remain with the Badgers through the Rose Bowl.
Ash spent the last three seasons at Wisconsin, operating as the defensive backs coach in 2010 before taking on a dual role as defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach beginning in the 2011 season.
In 2012, the Badgers' defense was 13th in the NCAA in total defense and tied for 19th in the country in scoring defense.
