NEW YORK CITY (WKOW)-- It usually takes time to learn to swim, but some parents are giving their toddlers a head start.
Some of the babies can't even sit, crawl, or walk yet, but in the water, they are like little fish. Some of them have started swimming at four weeks old, and a swim school in New York teaches them how to swim at six months.
Studies show babies who swim, develop spacial awareness, coordination, and fine motor skills.
Parents say its a little scary to see their little tikes in the water at first, but they actually float. Not to mention, an instructor is always close by.
