MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police say a young toddler is in the hospital and his mother is charged with Child Neglect after an incident at a hotel.
Just before 8:00 p.m. Sunday Madison officers were called to the Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham on East Springs Drive. Officers found Jennifer F. Shaw, 36 and her son, who is 14-months-old. The boy had been exposed to a liquid chemical that was in the hotel room.
The boy was taken to the hospital for treatment. Shaw is tentatively charged with Felony Child Neglect.
Testing is being done to determine what the liquid chemical was.
