JUNEAU COUNTY (WKOW) -- Authorities have identified the man who died Tuesday in a fire in Juneau County.
The Juneau County Sheriff's Department says the victim is 80-year-old Carl Stromley. Sheriff Brent Oleson says Stromley's preliminary cause of death is smoke inhalation.
Fire crews were called to a garage fire on Dlask Rd. just outside of Mauston around 10:30 Tuesday morning. Firefighters found a body inside the home.
The Juneau County Sheriff's Department is investigating the fire, along with the Juneau County Coroner's Office, Wisconsin State Fire Marshal's Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
