ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- A Janesville man is arrested for his seventh OWI offense.
Around 4:10 a.m. Wednesday morning, a deputy from the Rock County Sheriff's Office stopped Terance Rittenhouse, 45, near South County Trunk Highway D and West Hanover Road. The sheriff's office says Rittenhouse was speeding and drove his vehicle across the center line, almost hitting the deputy's squad.
When the deputy stopped Rittenhouse, he noticed heavy front-end damage on the car. Rittenhouse also had injuries on his face and the deputy smelled alcohol on his breath.
Janesville Fire and EMS transported Rittenhouse to Mercy Hospital. Afterward, he was arrested for 7th Offense felony Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Intoxicants. Rittenhouse was taken to the Rock County Jail. He's expected to be in court Thursday.
The sheriff's office has not found the scene of the accident yet.
