Cade's wish to go to Walt Disney World

WAUNAKEE (WKOW) -- A 4-year-old from Waunakee, who's living with acute myeloid leukemia, gets his wish.

Cade will celebrate his upcoming wish to go to his favorite theme park, Walt Disney World. His wish came true because of Make A Wish Foundation. Cade will celebrate his wish on Friday and learn the details of his trip with his family at Macy's Department Store.

Macy's will host the party because of their "Believe" campaign. In the fifth year of Macy's "Believe" campaign children of all ages are invited to mail letters to Santa using Macy's Santa Mail Letterboxes. Macy's donates $1 for each letter received, up to $1 million, to Make A Wish.

In celebration of Macy's National Believe Day, Make A Wish will grant wishes across the country to create a day of "Wishes Across America" for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Macy's in Madison is 1 of 50 stores in the country hosting a Make A Wish Foundation party.

In addition to Cade's wish in Madison, wishes will be granted in states across the country.
