Webster (WQOW) - An accidental gunshot leads police to an alleged drug house and lands
three men in custody.
Cowan Bruss, Thomas Polski, and
James Kroplin were arrested Saturday night. The Webster police chief says
someone called 911 after hearing a gunshot from inside a house around 7:30. Law
enforcement and the SWAT team responded to the house in the village of Webster.
No one came out of the house, so officers deployed tear gas inside.
When officers were able to get into
the house, they say they found Kroplin hiding. But that wasn't all police
found. Inside the house were drug scales, meth, marijuana, and what they
believe is k-2.
Bruss and Polski had taken off.
Police say it turns out, there were several people drinking inside and playing
with a gun, when they say it accidentally discharged. No one was hurt. Just
half an hour later, police got a call of two more gunshots on Main Street just a short
distance away. No one was hurt in that incident either. A search was conducted,
and law enforcement eventually located Bruss and Polski.
Charges of
drug possession, resisting and obstructing and illegal discharge of a firearm
are expected to be filed Monday.
