Winter Solstice at Aldo Leopold

MADISON (WKOW) -- The celebration of winter has come to our area! The Winter Solstice is the longest night of the year, and many consider it a great time to reflect on the past year and look with hope to the coming year.
Families are invited to rejoice in a celebration of that tradition at the Aldo Leopold Nature Center's annual Winter Solstice Celebration on Friday, December 21, 2012. The event is family friendly and features a variety of activities including, a naturalist-led twilight hike on ALNC's trails, nature crafts for the kids, inspiration Winter Solstice stories, and a festive bonfire.
The Aldo Leopold Nature Center is located at the Monona Campus, 330 Femrite Drive, Monona. The event lasts from 6:30 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. For more information and costs, please click here.
