Bullets found on Madison elementary school playground

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison Police Department is increasing patrols near John F. Kennedy Elementary School after students found bullets on the playground.

Madison Police say officers were dispatched to the playground at 221 Meadowlark Drive around 8:25 a.m. Monday. Officials recovered numerous live rounds.

Police say similar discoveries took place at the school twice in November of 2011.

The school's principal will send a note home to parents Monday night.
