Chippewa County (WQOW) - The man who led area authorities on two tense manhunts in October on the same day is going to prison.
Shane Gregory, of Stanley, was sentenced Friday to 4.5 years in prison.
Gregory was convicted of trying to run down a Chippewa County sheriff's deputy who then fired gunshots at his car. Gregory managed to elude officers only to be spotted several hours later in Altoona. That prompted another manhunt with armed officers searching for him.
Gregory was finally caught several days later.
