Altoona looking for applicants for open city council seat

ALTOONA, WI - The City of Altoona is seeking applicants to fill the City Council position vacated by Thomas Meyer effective 1-3-13.   The new council member, who will be appointed by the City Council, will serve until April, 2014.

Applicants must reside in Aldermanic District 3, which consist of Wards 4 and 5.  Interested citizens can check the City's Website at www.ci.altoona.wi.us under "Residents/Voter Registration" to confirm their Aldermanic District by viewing a map. Prospective applicants may also call City Hall at 715-839-6092 and provide their address to confirm which District they reside in.

All applicants must submit a letter of application and resume to Cindy Bauer, City Clerk, 1303 Lynn Avenue, Altoona, WI 54720, or by e-mail to cindyb@ci.altoona.wi.us by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.  The resume shall include relevant personal and professional information such as previous board experience, if any.
