Eau Galle (WQOW) - The discovery of a dozen abandoned dogs and cats in Dunn County ends with a fine for an area woman.
Investigators found the animals after a couple was evicted from an Eau Galle home. Deputies found two dogs chained in a shed. They were only able to walk in a two-foot circle due to the length of the chains. They also had no food. Ten cats were found in the empty house.
Melissa Patton of Downing pleaded no contest this week to mistreating an animal. She was fined nearly $300.
