FITCHBURG (WKOW) – A pizza delivery driver was robbed of two
pizzas early Saturday morning while delivering at an apartment.
The City of Fitchburg Police Department responded to the
incident around 1:45 a.m. on the 5100 block of Anton Drive.
According to the victim delivery driver, he entered an
apartment building to deliver the pizzas and was approached from the rear by
three guys as he attempted to ring the doorbell.
Authorities said the suspects engaged in a brief conversation
with the victim before one of the suspects struck the victim in the upper torso
and side of the head. The three suspects
made off with two pizzas and a two-liter bottle of cola.
Officials said the suspects fled the scene heading south and
were described as black males, between the ages of 15 and 17 years old and
wearing dark clothing.
Police said a K-9 track was attempted, but was unsuccessful.
