Rice Lake man arrested for 5th offense OWI following crash

Spooner (Press Release from Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post) - Ricky L. Jennes, 43, of Rice Lake, has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense.

On Saturday, December 22, at approximately 11:55 a.m., a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper responded to a two car crash on U.S. Highway 8, east of Cedar Swamp Road. Jennes was traveling westbound on Highway 8 when he crossed the center-line and struck another vehicle traveling eastbound.

Jennes was transported by Bruce ambulance to Rusk County Memorial Hospital to be examined. A subsequent investigation resulted in Jennes being arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, drugged driving, 5th offense.

The crash was investigated and written by the Wisconsin State Patrol. Rusk County Sheriff's Department and Weyerhaeuser Fire Department also assisted on scene.
