Madison (WQOW) - A former Wisconsin basketball player was
back in his home state Saturday, but playing for the opposition.
Eau Claire Regis grad and Stanley native Connor Miller was in Madison Saturday as his Samford Bulldogs took
on the Wisconsin Badgers in division one college hoops. Samford
University is located in Alabama, so with Miller back competing in his home state
of Wisconsin many area family members and
friends took the opportunity to travel to the Kohl Center
to watch him play, including his number one fans: his parents.
"Connor is so very
grateful, he has not only the entire Regis community supporting him here today,
but also the Stanley-Boyd community which is where he lives and where he grew
up. So we are grateful, all of the
friends, family, relatives, the Regis community, the Stanley-Boyd community,
its outstanding to see the support they've given our son all these years," says
Connor's parents, Mark and Mary Miller.
