GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- A 24-year-old Green Bay man convicted of killing his 4-month-old son is making a third attempt to get his name cleared.
Jeremiah Felton is serving a life sentence for first-degree intentional homicide of his son, J.J. Felton. He's accused of slamming his son's head into a door after the child cried during a bath in June 2008.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Felton's attorney filed the motion Friday asking for reconsideration of an appellate court ruling upholding his conviction.
Felton unsuccessfully argued to the court this month that a prosecutor's erroneous remark at his trial and ineffective defense counsel justifies a new trial.
Felton earlier lost a bid for a new trial based on reports that one of his jurors had received in inappropriate text message before his conviction.
