MADISON (WKOW) -- Congressman-Elect Mark Pocan joins Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the 113th Congress and being sworn in on Thursday.
He talks about his first order of business after being sworn into Congress.
"They have a calendar starting tomorrow for us to vote on things. Some of it is basic like the rules, but what we can see is there is some flood relief and other things potentially on the agenda as well," Pocan said.
Congressman Pocan also discusses the fiscal cliff, spending cuts and the debt ceiling.
"We do have a lot of work to do to make sure we're protecting programs like social security and medicare when we get to the moment when we're looking at cuts. That's some of the work that I have to do," Pocan said. "We need to make sure we get where we need to be fiscally, but without really affecting the middle class."
