Barron County (WQOW) - If a committee's vote is any indication, a showdown over prayer could be looming in Barron County.

On Wednesday, the Barron County Executive Committee recommended unanimously that the county board continue to include a prayer as part of its agenda. For decades, the Barron County Board has opened its meetings with a prayer. The Freedom From Religion Foundation has asked the board to stop and says it will consider filing a lawsuit if the board fails to do so.

The committee's recommendation was sent to the county board which could vote on it on January 21st.
