MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Mayor Paul Soglin declares January 5th as "National Bird Day" and the Dane County Humane Society has some great birds that need fur-ever homes.
Gayle Viney with the DCHS brought three parakeets on Wake Up Wisconsin Friday morning named Larry, Daryl and Daryl. DCHS also has another parakeet named Ruth and a cockatiel named Figaro up for adoption.
In honor of National Bird Day, DCHS is reducing its bird adoption fees by 50% for the entire month of January.
