LINCOLN, Neb. (WKOW) -- The UW men's basketball team survived another brutal shooting performance to beat Nebraska 47-41 on Sunday.

Wisconsin shot just 37.7 percent from the field and made just 3 of its 13 free throw attempts (23.1 percent).

Jared Berggren led the Badgers with 13 points. Ryan Evans' double-double on 10 points and 15 rebounds helped lift the Badgers to a win.

Berggren missed all four of his first-half shots but made six in a row to start the second half as the Badgers asserted themselves inside.

The Badgers (11-4, 2-0 Big Ten) won their fifth game in a row and held their ninth straight opponent to 60 points or fewer.

The Huskers (9-6, 0-2), coming off a 70-44 loss at Ohio State in their conference opener, have averaged just 42 points the last four meetings with the Badgers.

Ray Gallegos and Dylan Talley scored 12 points apiece and Brandon Ubel added 10 for the Huskers.

Ubel hit a 3-pointer for Nebraska's only basket after Gallegos had given the Huskers a 38-37 lead with 6:19 left.

Wisconsin hosts No. 11 Illinois Saturday at the Kohl Center.
