WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will return to work Monday, according to the State Department.
Clinton had been hospitalized with a blood clot in her head.
The State Department released a schedule Sunday which has Clinton meeting with assistant secretaries Monday morning. Clinton will also have meetings in Washington on Thursday and Friday with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
Clinton was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital on December 30 after doctors discovered the blood clot while following up on a concussion she suffered earlier in the month. She was released Wednesday.
Clinton is expected to resign from the State Department soon. President Barack Obama has nominated Massachusetts Senator John Kerry to replace her.
