UPDATE: Relative in custody for the shooting death of teen girl

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Milwaukee police say they have an 18-year-old relative in custody for the fatal shooting of a girl on Milwaukee's south side.

The shooting happened around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as Brendalyz Morales, 15-years-old.  The relative in custody is a male.
Officials say the circumstances leading to the shooting remain under investigation.AP-WF-01-
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- A 15-year-old girl is the victim of a fatal shooting in Milwaukee overnight.
The Milwaukee Police Department say the shooting happened around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 1500 block of West Orchard Street. Investigators say a 15-year-old girl from Milwaukee is dead.
Police are still investigating what led up to the shooting.


MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal overnight shooting on the city's south side.

Officers were called to the area of 15th and Orchard streets around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to WKOW Milwaukee affiliate WISN 12 News that their personnel have also been called to the scene.

Police said one person was taken to the hospital and that no one is in custody at this time.
