MADISON (WKOW) -- Two people were taken to the hospital following a snowmobile accident on Lake Waubesa.

The Madison Fire Department was called out to the lake around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say the snowmobilers were about 300 yards from shore when their sled tipped over. Firefighters drove out on their ice rescue ATV to help bring them back to shore.

The two people were then taken to St. Mary's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
