Snowmobile crash leads to one arrest

MADISON (WKOW) -- Shortly after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dane County Sheriff's marine and Trail deputies were called to Lake Farm Park for report of a snowmobile crash.

The operator, 53-year-old Samuel Dimaggio, of Fitchburg, was snowmobiling on Lake Waubesa.

Dimaggio made a sudden turn, causing himself and his passenger, 48-year-old Lisa Rowland, of Deforest, to be thrown from the snowmobile.  Neither were wearing helmets and both sustained head injuries.

The couple was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where Dimaggio was admitted and Rowland was treated and released.
