MADISON (WKOW) – Madison police arrest a man for possession of
child pornography in a hotel lobby.
Police were called to the Baymont Inn & Suites Tuesday
after staff and a hotel guest saw another guest, 39-year-old Antwun Barbary, looking
at child pornography on the lobby computer.
After an employee told Barbary he couldn't use the lobby computer for
viewing such material, he quickly tried closing the windows and returned to his
room.
When officers arrived, they discovered Barbary had only
minimized the windows leaving 35 web pages open. Many of them displaying what
appeared to be child pornography.
Officials contacted Barbary's room and he admitted to
viewing pornography on the computer but claimed it was with people of legal
age.
Authorities say, based on evidence and witness statements,
Barbary was arrested for possessing child pornography.
Barbary was also taken into custody on a probation hold. His
probation stems from a 2007 arrest in which the suspect was found exposing
himself while lying in the skywalk that runs between Meriter Hospital and a
clinic at 1 S. Park St.
