Rice Lake (Press Release) - A citizen reported hearing breaking glass at a neighboring home on Sunday, January 6 at 4:24 a.m.

When officers arrived they found a 17-year-old male armed with a knife and ax. Officers arrested him and found he was in possession of property that led them to burglaries from six other places or vehicles in the area.

The suspect, Cody Kapaun, of Barron, was transported and incarcerated at the Barron County Jail and appeared in Barron County Circuit Court on Wednesday for formal charges of burglary. Additional charges are pending.
