UPDATE: Fitchburg police release photo of pharmacy robbery suspect


FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- As police in Fitchburg continue to investigate a robbery at Walgreens Pharmacy, they've released a photo of the suspect.

FITCHBURG (WKOW) -- Police in Fitchburg are trying to track down the person they say stole Oxycontin pills from a pharmacy.

Officers say just before 5 p.m. Thursday, the suspect walked into the Walgreens Pharmacy at 2931 S. Fish Hatchery Road and approached the counter. He demanded the pills and implied that he had a weapon.

Police say the clerk gave him the pills and he fled the store.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5'6''-5'10'', 140 lbs., wearing a black jacket over a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and Timberland style work boots. Police say the suspect concealed his identity by pulling the hooded sweatshirt over his head and face.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
